Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah

Hey, Jude -

This time of year there are many holidays celebrated by people all over the world. We celebrate 2 - Christmas and Hanukkah. Christmas is the holiday Momma & Daddy grew up with and Hanukkah is the holiday Momma started to celebrate when she was in college. Traditionally, Christmas is for Christians and Hanukkah is for Jews, but we like to celebrate both because at the root of them is family and giving. Those are 2 of the most important things in life.

I hope that when you grow up and have a family of your own you will celebrate however you think best embraces a spirit of giving and family. That might mean something religious, something secular, something spiritual, something fun, something serious, but most of all something selfless. Daddy & I like to take the best bits of Christmas and Hanukkah and fold them into our winter holiday season. We're really looking forward to volunteering with you when you get a little older. Giving to others is a powerful thing and we can't wait to share that with you.

I love you, my Jude. My holiday boy.
Momma
